In March 2010, my wife Beth accepted a job to become to Access and Public Services Librarian for a new school New York University was opening in Abu Dhabi, UAE. On April 10th we arrived in Abu Dhabi sight unseen. We had only our tourist guide and an episode of House Hunters International to prepare us for the experience to come. This blog is the official journal of our adventure in a new land—the places we'll go, the food we'll eat, and the people we'll meet.
